Personal
I have spent my whole life living in Michigan. My extended family is from Cleveland, so we travel there quite a bit. I am very close with my family and I am the oldest of four as I have three younger brothers. I got married in June 2018 and have a baby boy who was born in the January 2021.
In my spare time, I enjoy going for runs, hanging out with friends and family, traveling to new places, and finding new and interesting restaurants. On the weekends, I like to explore different farmer's markets and add to my ever-growing collection of plants. My favorite food is sushi and I love drinking lattes. I am an avid watcher of Grey's Anatomy, This is Us, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Growing up in Michigan, I attended the
Birmingham School District and went to Michigan State University. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Science endorsement. I have also obtained my master's degree in Educational Technology and graduated in May 2019!

I love learning and staying up to date with what is new in the educational field. I enjoy collaborating with other teachers in and out of my district to learn about new ideas! I strive to create hands-on and engaging lessons for my students. I plan on using everything I have learned in my master's program and incorporate it into my teaching career.

Career
I have known that I wanted to go into education ever since I was young. I had many opportunities in high school where I was able to work in a few elementary schools in my district. I also had the opportunity to work as a teacher's aide at my Hebrew school.

I started off teaching in a second grade classroom for my one-year internship in Detroit Public Schools. Since then, I have taught in private and charter schools. During this time, I have had the opportunity to teach grades two through five. I am currently teaching at Deerfield Elementary in a second grade classroom. This will be my sixth year teaching in a second grade classroom and I absolutely love it!
